Jersey

The Bailiwick of Jersey is a British Crown dependency located off the coast of Normandy in France. It’s the largest of the Channel Islands and divided into 12 parishes, most of which have been named after saints. Jersey has a rich culture and interesting history, with several wars and invasion attempts over the centuries. Today, it’s history is discernible in the French road names and typical Jersey surnames, as well as in the many historical sites, monuments and artifacts.

The network of green lanes and cycle routes along with the beautiful cliff path walks make it an ideal ground for walkers and cyclists. St. Helier, thecapital of the island, is a busy town and the most populous parish. If you love shoping, Jersey is irresistible! Since there’s no VAT, everything here is cheaper than the UK.

Jersey beckons you with an inviting range of activities that include skydiving, jet skiing, walking, biking, just to name a few. At Durrell, you can enjoy your time watching the endangered wildlife species. Jersey is truly a premier holiday location in Europe. On atour, be sure to visit the unique German Underground Hospital at St Lawrence, Elizabeth Castle at St Helier and Jersey Lavender Farm, where you’ll see how Lavender oil is made!
